Some Quality Weight Loss Offerings that I Recently Discovered

As a Weight Loss entrepreneur and someone that offers a quality Weight Loss product, sometimes I reach out to the sandbox that I work in to ask for new methods, gadgets and other products that help those that I seek to provide solutions.

The ideal body image is a noble pursuit. Weight Loss is a long journey and weight loss tips and quality weight loss programs seem to be all over the place.

It amazes me at the number of quality choices a person has when they pursue a weight loss plan. Quality choices: there are world class nutrition programs such as Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig and eDiets, fitness centers are located at virtually every street corner, there's an endless array of equipment and gadgets, renowned diets are touted everywhere and books, websites and methodologies put all of the world's information health, nutrition and fitness right at our fingertips.

weight loss clinics, easy weight loss, best way to lose weight,

Let's take a quick look at some that I discovered just this past week.

1) There's an interesting new book entitled: "The When Diet: Mathematically Optimizing Eating and Exercise for Weight Loss" is by Todd Easton, a K-State associate professor of industrial and manufacturing systems engineering. He advocates weight loss optimization - maximizing weight loss while minimizing suffering (hunger, craving, etc.) with a mathematical analysis.

I love this concept as it makes sense to figure out the easiest way to do it; what's the point in being miserable with marginal gain.

2) SUSTA is a new all-natural, non-chemical sweetener designed to help those who want to lose or maintain their weight. It's also perfect for diabetics, in addition to those on weight loss programs or proactively dealing with obesity.

NXT Nutritionals of Holyoke, MA. its manufacturer and distributor, expects SUSTA to be a healthy alternative to the popular Splenda, Sweet 'N Low and Equal.

A SUSTA packet is only five calories with a high proportion of fiber and a very small amount of fructose (less than 0.5 g per serving). It's considered to be sweeter that two teaspoons of sugar and potentially saves about 20 calories or more while providing an extra bonus of nutrition.

3) Here are Weight-Wise Cooking Tips offered by registered and licensed dietitian and certified diabetes educator Susan Burke March, author of "Making Weight Control Second Nature: Living Thin Naturally":

Simple Swaps and Strategies for a Slimmer You

It's certainly possible to eat healthfully without spending a lot of time shopping, preparing, and cooking. With just a little preparation and forethought, you can enjoy nutritious food and never 'diet' again. Using just a few simple strategies, you can enjoy favorite recipes with less fat, sugar and calories...without sacrificing flavor. It's easier than you might think.

Such as: Prepare to Succeed, The Recipe Rule, Think Lean, Stick to Non-Stick, Mission-Critical Method, Crumbs Count, Sweeten Naturally, Dairy Do's, Just Desserts and Double Up.....which are all insightful, logical and fairly easy to adopt.

Let's look at just one of these: * Mission-Critical Method: Bake, broil, grill, poach your proteins. Rather than basting with butter or margarine, cut the saturated and trans fat by basting with flavorful vegetable broth, white wine, or orange juice. Avoid recipes with heavy sauces and gravies to keep your menus low fat.

4) Atkins is not new and many still think of Atkins as the "bacon, egg and cheese" diet, not realizing Atkins has evolved into a sustainable and flexible lifestyle that is steeped in science.

The Atkins Nutritional Approach includes a wide variety of whole foods including lean protein, vegetables, fruits and whole grains to keep you satiated longer, but eliminates the simple sugars and simple carbohydrates that cause blood sugar to spike.

5) There's a book out that helps people get real about their battle, entitled: Die Fat or Get Tough: 101 Differences in Thinking Between Fat People and Fit People. The premise of the book is you can finally lose weight and keep it off forever, just by thinking like a fit person.

6) There is the nation's first and largest fresh-tossed salad franchise restaurant concept, called Saladworks. Paul Steck, President of Saladworks, has put together some tips and tricks for your readers to create a salad that is both healthy and filling. This is a sure fire way to keep your taste buds happy while keeping your body healthy.

7) BioSignia, based in North Carolina's Research Triangle, developed The Biggest Loser Know Your Number HealthScore. It's an innovative health assessment tool that will provide an actual glimpse into your health future; showing the risk of diabetes, stroke and heart disease as well as internal age. The HealthScore also provides a road map to reduce that risk. The HealthScore will be featured on NBC's The Biggest Loser this season.

We'll continue this list in Some Quality Weight Loss Offerings that I recently Discovered, Part Two.
